Take Your Hair From Conventional To Organic

Don’t we all just want long, luscious hair? Of course, we do…but many of us are not blessed with naturally fast growing hair or maybe we are…but factors such as the extremely rising temperatures and humidity kills our hair’s ability to support itself over time. Plus, consuming the wrong type of diet has been widely discussed by many hair experts to be the main reason why our hair could stop growing or keep falling out. That is if you do not take any medications which encourage hair fall out.

What I have personally experienced is bleached, falling out hair, full of split ends and frizz. When I went on the hunt for quality products that can actually help my hair, I came across a lot of information regarding the ton of chemicals present in widely advertised shampoos and conditioners that can really harm our hair. Here’s a list of the most dangerous ones:

12toxicingredientsshampoo1I can already feel you cringe, biting your nails. I know that these chemicals are present in almost all highly advertised shampoos and conditioners. Even though products claim that they repair damaged hair and tame your frizzy mane, those chemicals cause more harm than good. This is why nothing defies organic products. The ones I have personally used and swear by are Andalou Natural’s Moisture Rich shampoo and conditioner.

shampooLet’s pause for a minute to talk about how heavenly these products smell. I can not describe how amazingly the sweet orange aroma lingers on your scalp, giving a feeling of freshness without overpowering your nostrils with fragrance. It is wonderful how it leaves the hair strands clean yet moisturized; simply because it doesn’t contain all the harsh chemicals which strip your follicles of its natural sebum. What I like the most though, is that it does not make my scalp get very oily and at the same time, does not weigh down your hair. I can go for a week, without the need to wash my hair except once.

Below are the ingredients of the shampoo and the conditioner:

What I really like about these products is that they are Gluten free, which means that all of you out there who are allergic to gluten need not worry. They clearly state on the bottle that they also do not test on animals (cruelty-free), have no sulfates or parabens and are not genetically modified (non-GMO). It is very important to choose products that are non-GMO. What this means is that even the organic, natural ingredients present in the products, such as sweet orange, are grown free from all of the toxic pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides that are sprayed on conventionally-grown veggies and fruits.

On an end note, I would like to emphasize that what you put on your scalp and hair is as important as what you consume. To further elaborate, you need to have a good diet and consume a sufficient amount of vitamins to maintain the health of your hair. Until then, revise your hair care products and replace them with organic ones.
